    This preprint outlines the results of a sociological survey (focus groups) carried out in May-June 2021 in five regions of Russia. The purpose of the survey was to study the respondents’ attitude towards childbearing and the new pronatalist state policy measures in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, and to discover the respondents’ views on the conditions necessary for becoming a parent in the pandemic conditions. The results of the survey are of interest for forecasting birth rates in Russia.&nbsp
